In all of creation, no proper words exist for me to truly express how profoundly sad I am for the loss of your departed loved one.

Open Note To My Champion Cardiologist, Dr. Sabe

Note: This was written two weeks after my July 14, 2024 heart transplant.

Dr. Sabe, I thank you from the bottom of my new heart for helping keep me stable to getting to a donor heart. 

Thank you as well for respecting my rugged individualist contrarian ways, by allowing some flexibility in my treatment.

Welcome to Oscar’s Happy Heart Pet Sanctuary!

While I was in the hospital recovering from heart transplant surgery, I made a solemn oath to my spouse, Dr. Bessie, who also goes by @DrPetMom on X.

She had never complained and supported me through 4 years of my hellish medical nightmare. And I vowed to help her find the resources to create her dream for a sanctuary for senior and special needs pets.

This place will be in an idyllic pastoral setting, far from the loud noise and bright lights of our cities.
